I am an agency-represented photographer from Los Angeles. My background is in commercial advertising photography, specifically cosmetics. I attended one of the best film schools in the world, UCLA Film School in Los Angeles, and worked in the art world for museums, art foundations and artists before becoming a commercial advertising photographer.

On a personal level, however, I have long been interested in contemporary spirituality. I am a certified meditation teacher and Reiki practitioner, have studied with the Foundation for Shamanic Studies, and trained at the College of Psychic Studies in London. I am excited to finally combine my photography with my personal interests and have developed an idea for a new portrait series.

The ideal framework for each portrait shoot interweaves meditation and photography. Usually, portrait shoots only focus on the visual aspects, but I’d like to develop an energetic connection between the sitter and myself through a short meditation and intuitive aura reading beforehand.

My aim for this series is to create portraits that truly capture and communicate the essence and the energy of the sitter.

Moreover, I also hope to create a mixed media collage for each sitter by combining the physical representation, the portrait photograph, with an energetic representation through colors, words and possibly selected creative imagery. The result will be not unlike a handmade aura photograph, though the process is very different.

All sitters will receive selected high-res images from the shoots. In line with contemporary sensibilities the retouching will be very light and natural.
